MARKET SITUATION:  South Padre Island had seen their visitor days remain flat for a couple of years and needed a marketing campaign to increase visitors heads in beds from drive markets like San Antonio and Austin.  The challenge was that people were not wiling to drive an additional 2 hours past the Coastal Bend and Corpus Christi/Port Aransas area.  Furthermore, the Island had become synonymous with Spring Break and not viewed as family friendly.

OBJECTIVE:  Increase hotels stays on the Island by by stealing share from Texas Gulf Coast Competitors.

SOLUTION:  Create a branding campaign that differentiated SPI form the competitive set by clapping the Best Beach in Texas and World Class Beach activities.
